Bayley is focused both on her personal goals and giving back.

Bayley has her own goals, but she knows that there is a greater purpose within WWE.

Bayley is the betting favorite for Saturday’s womens Royal Rumble match. Bayley told Uproxx in an interview before the event that she dreams of winning the Rumble, and then going on to headline WrestleMania. Bayley doesn’t mind if the dream doesn’t come true. She believes that her purpose is to give and make the WWE Women’s Division bigger:

I believe that my main purpose is to help women who are in NXT or backstage, like Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae, become main event stars. I’ve won a championship and I know what my purpose is. I don’t care if I can’t win the Rumble or main event WrestleMania, I will still do everything I can to get the singles match. It’s to make my division bigger and to share my equity.

Bayley has said that if she wins the Rumble she will challenge Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley instead of WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY at WrestleMania forty. Bayley and SKY were stablemates in Damage CTRL together, but WWE is slowly preparing for a split.

Bayley told Uproxx 2024 is all about cementing her legacy.

This year is all about me cementing my career and legacy. I’ve accomplished a lot until now. I feel that with Damage CTRL I am on a higher level than everyone else, including the women I created, because it comes along with a new responsibility.

It’s different to be responsible for yourself. The fact that I was able to do this successfully and that IYO has won the championship right now puts me on another level. This year will solidify my identity and what I have brought to the industry, and to the company.”

Damage CTRL also includes Kairi Sane and Asuka in addition to Bayley and SKY. Asuka and Sane will be competing for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on SmackDown, this Friday.

Bayley, Becky Lynch Nia Jax and Bianca Belair have been the only four women announced so far for Saturday’s Royal Rumble women’s match. Total of 30 entrants will be present.
