Black Taurus signs deal with AEW/ROH in todays Wrestling news
Taurus may be prohibited from using the Black Taurus brand name.
Black Taurus reportedly signed a deal with AEW/ROH, but it appears that he will not be able to use his Black Taurus name.
TheCubsFan, a LuchaBlog.com member, recently addressed the situation regarding Taurus.
Taurus adopted the name “Black Taurus” in 2015, while wrestling for AAA. AAA owns all rights to the name. After leaving AAA the following year, Taurus went by the name “Black Taurus”, appearing on independent shows as well as Impact Wrestling.
He also appeared as Black Taurus on Mexican television for other promotions. In 2018, he returned to AAA and wrestled in the promotion under the name Taurus, and outside it under the name Black Taurus. AAA had reportedly no objections until recently to Taurus using Black Taurus.
Taurus wrestled El Hijo del Vikingo on December 15 at ROH Final battle and five days later, Vikingo again wrestled him in an episode of AEW RAMPAGE.
Taurus announced earlier this month that he was now a free-agent and would continue his career as Black Taurus both in Mexico and the United States.

According to LuchaBlog’s report, Taurus has now agreed to a contract with the AEW/ROH.
LuchaBlog wrote: “It might take a couple of days to read the same information behind a paid wall, but that means (Taurus), got a AEW/ROH contract.”
TheCubsFan said he was told by AAA that Taurus expects to have to change his gimmick or name when he wrestles with AEW and ROH.
“I was told that (Taurus), had anticipated this outcome. I don’t exactly know what (Taurus will look like, or be called) when you see him again on TV, but I expect his name to not include the word “Taurus”, LuchaBlog wrote.
