Chad Gable will no longer compete in a WWE Money in the Bank qualifier match next week.
Ilja Dragunov will replace Gable in the qualifier. A triple-threat match between Gable and Braun Strowman was announced for Raw on Monday. The announcement was made via a graphic on the latest episode WWE Main Event. This comes after Gable was attacked by the Wyatt Sicks.
The new faction made its debut at the end Raw earlier this week. As part of the introduction, a bloody Gable backstage was shown in Gorilla Position after being decimated Wyatt Sicks.
Uncle Howdy (Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy), Erick Rowan (Nikki Cross), Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy are confirmed members of the Wyatt Sicks. The group is led by his brother Taylor, who plays Uncle Howdy/Bo Dallas. It pays tribute to Windham Rotunda’s (Bray Wyatt) late Windham Rotunda.
Before the attack, Gable had lost to Strowman during a Raw singles match. Alpha Academy imploded, seemingly for good, with Otis leaving Gable, Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa.
Gable signed a new WWE deal recently. He lost to Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn at Clash at the Castle on the weekend.
Jey Uso & IYO SKY are already qualified for their respective Money in the Bank ladder matches. The event will take place in Toronto, Canada on Saturday, 7th July.
