Dusty Classic finals confirmed for WWE NXT Vengeance Day in todays Wrestling news
On Sunday, the tournament winners will be announced.
The WWE NXT Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic finals for this year have been set.
Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams defeated Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro from the LWO in Tuesday’s NXT to advance to Sunday’s Vengeance day event, where they will face Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin.
Williams will do double duty at Sunday’s show, where he will challenge Ilja Dragunov in the main event for the NXT Championship.
Hayes & Williams beat Edris Enofe & Malik Blade, then the LWO, in the semi-finals to punch their tickets to Sunday’s Finals. Breakker & Corbin beat Gallus in quarterfinals and Axiom & Nathan Frazer to advance.
Dusty Classic champions are traditionally given a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships later. The NXT Tag Team Championship currently belongs to Tony D’Angelo & Stacks Lorenzo.
