Team AEW has finally begun to form, as Ring of Honor World Championship Mark Briscoe has pledged allegiance to The Elite.
Briscoe revealed that he would be appearing on Wednesday’s Dynamite in a passionate promo. He was then jumped by Elite member Jack Perry, the new TNT champion. Kyle O’Reilly jumped Elite member Kazuchika OKada after he came to Briscoe’s rescue. The Young Bucks came out and stacked the odds in their favor, until The Acclaimed swept everyone away.
The Elite is still searching for a final member of the team. Hangman Page, who returned to action Wednesday in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, turned down the Bucks in a backstage segment.
Briscoe will be competing in his first Blood & Guts contest, while Nick & Matt Jackson will be participating in their second Blood & Guts contest after last year’s match at Boston. It will be the first Blood & Guts Match for both AEW Continental Champions Okada & Perry.
On Wednesday, July 24, Dynamite from Nashville Tennessee will host a double cage buffet of in ring violence.
