Matt Riddle wins MLW Battle Riot VI in todays Wrestling news
Matt Riddle has won the sixth Battle Riot.
Riddle won Saturday’s MLW event held in Atlanta. The match was won by Riddle, Sami Callihan Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Timothy Thatcher. All four men tumbled over the top rope in the finish. Thatcher and Smith eliminated one another while Riddle held on to the ropes, sending Callihan down. Riddle now has a future MLW World Championship Match.
The battle royal featured Minoru Suzuki, Tom Lawlor, Violent “The Cat” Miller and Scott Riggs.
Riddle has been a regular in MLW ever since he was released from WWE last year. He briefly held the New Japan World Television Championship, but lost to Zack Sabre Jr. last April.
Other matches at Battle Riot VI included MLW World Heavyweight Champ Satoshi Kojima beating Lawlor in a match of ritual combat, Alex Kane beating AJ Francis, and Janai Kai edging out Delmi Exo for the MLW Featherweight Title.
