Tama Tonga defends the NEVER Openweight Title against EVIL.
The New Beginning of NJPW in Nagoya is headlined by a NEVER Openweight title bout.
On January 20, Tama Tonga will defend the NEVER title in a match against EVIL. Tonga won the title at Wrestle Kingdom 18 by defeating Shingo Takagi. The following day, at New Year Dash, EVIL attacked Tonga and cut off a small piece of his hair. Tonga announced in a post match interview following Wrestle kingdom that he would be leaving NJPW by the end of this month.
Taiji Ishimori will face Great-O Khan for the KOPW title 2024. Ishimori and Khan had a shouting contest backstage after Ishimori won at New Year Dash. Hikuelo & TJP will face off against KENTA & Chase Owens prior to their IWGP Tag Team Title match on February 11 in Osaka. A ten-man tag team match will pit Los Ingobernables de Japon against Just Five Guys.
