Toni Storm challenges Mina Shirakawa to AEW x NJPW forbidden Door in todays Wrestling news
Toni Storm is taking on a well-known name from Stardom in Forbidden Door.
Mina Shirakawa, who was in the ring during Stardom’s Stardom event at Korakuen Hall Saturday night, was there when the lights went off and a video started playing. Storm appeared with Mariah May, and said that she had noticed Shirakawa helping May when she wasn’t there. She said she had opened the forbidden door to challenge Shirakawa to a fight, saying that any friend of May is her friend, but she wanted to see what Shirakawa is really like.
Shirakawa replied by saying that everyone wanted her and she was ready to face Storm anywhere, at any time. She then copied Storm’s catchphrase and ended it with “watch out”
Shirakawa appeared on AEW TV recently, helping former Stardom partner May when Storm was not around. She also defeated Anna Jay in the April 24 edition AEW Dynamite.
Forbidden Door takes place at the UBS Arena on June 30, New York. Swerve Strickland vs. Will Ospreay, for the AEW Championship, and a ladder match to fill the vacant TNT Championship with Konosuke Takashita are confirmed matches.
