Willow Nightingale wins vacant CMLL Women's Title at Fantastica Maniac in todays Wrestling news

Willow Nightingale, who was unable win her second consecutive Owen Hart Foundation tournament on AEW Dynamite a few days ago, can now call herself a champ as she holds the CMLL women’s title.

Nightingale won the title by pinning Van after she defeated Viva Van in a three way match at Saturday’s CMLL x NJPW Fantastica Mania. The match was possible because Stephanie Vaquer abruptly signed with WWE last week, which left the title vacant.

Nightingale has now won three major titles in the last fourteen months. She had short runs with the NJPW Strong Women’s title and the TBS Title. She also won the 2023 Owen Cup but lost in this year’s edition to Mariah May.

Nightingale competed in three CMLL events this March, including trios matches.

Vaquer’s reign was 285 days long, after the long reigns of Princess Sugehit (1027), Marcela (704) and Dalys la Caribe (983 days), among others.
