Sika Anoa’i, a tag-team legend and pivotal family member of pro wrestling’s greatest family, has died at the age of 79.

He was declared dead by his nephew Jahrus Anoa’i on Tuesday. Sika was father to five children, including WWE wrestler Rosey and WWE star Roman Reigns.

“It is a great sadness to share the news of Polaivao Sika Anoa’i’s passing. He died peacefully on the 25th of June,” Jahrus wrote.

“He was a father who worked hard, a brother who cared, an uncle who supported him, and a grandfather with pride. He was a beloved friend to many. A loving family member, whose warmth and kindliness knew no bounds. And an inspiration to countless people. His legacy will inspire and uplift the future generations. It will remind us of the impact that one person’s death can have on many. Rest in love, Uncle Sika.”
