WWE SmackDown to feature Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns in a face-to-face match in todays Wrestling news
Reigns and Rhodes are set to cross paths on Friday.
Roman Reigns will face Cody Rhodes on SmackDown this evening.
Reigns and Rhodes were confirmed to appear on the show. WWE announced this afternoon that Reigns & Rhodes would be going face-to-face in the episode.
Last Saturday, Rhodes was the first person to win consecutive Royal Rumble matches since Steve Austin. Rhodes immediately indicated that he wanted to finish his story, by challenging Reigns to a rematch at WrestleMania for the Undisputed Universal Championship.
In a segment of Raw this past week, Seth Rollins argued that Rhodes should challenge him to WrestleMania in place of Reigns. Rhodes told Rollins he respected him and would think about it.
Rollins vs. CM Punk was originally planned for WrestleMania, but it won’t happen due to Punk torn triceps.
Bayley, the Women’s Royal Rumble champion, will also be appearing on SmackDown this evening. We’ll learn if she’s going to challenge Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania or WWE Women’s Champion IYO Sky.
